Young Talent in Spain’s MICE Sector Gathered in Madrid for the Second Edition of New Talent OPC Spain
The second edition of New Talent OPC Spain brought together the young talent of the MICE sector in Madrid. Organized by Jóvenes OPC, the event aimed to share experiences, learn from industry experts, and strengthen connections within the corporate event management profession.
“Connecting to Care”: Wellbeing and Balance in Corporate Events
Under the theme “Connecting to Care,” the event emphasized the importance of personal and professional balance in the events industry—a sector as exciting as it is demanding. In corporate events and conferences, where pace and pressure are constant, it’s essential to remember that to keep the wheel turning, we first need to take care of ourselves and reconnect with what motivates us.
An Event to Inspire and Educate in the MICE Industry
Throughout the day, attendees had the opportunity to hear from Arturo Giménez, Lorena Ruiz Bautista, PhD, and Ana Iglesias Morales, three speakers who delivered inspiring sessions on problem-solving, emotional management, and corporate event organization—core skills for anyone working in event production and coordination in Madrid.
The event also featured a panel discussion on the present and future of the MICE sector, with participation from Iris Chiesa, Ignacio Ormazábal Carrasco, Marina Sandonís San Juan, and Marta Rivas Rasillo. They shared their experiences and challenges as young professionals who are already making a significant impact in the industry.
Talent and Motivation: Key Drivers for the Future of the MICE Sector
As Gonzalo Baró Ruiz, Third Vice President of OPC Spain and Coordinator of Jóvenes OPC, highlighted, the future of the MICE sector rests on two essential pillars: talent and motivation. This vision resonates strongly with us at AV Medios, reflecting the spirit that drives our growth: innovation, teamwork, and personal wellbeing in corporate event management.
